Andrey Dergachev: BIOGRAPHY
Andrey Dergachev — composer and sound director, in Andrey Zvyagintsev’s team since 2003. Composed original music score for The Return (2003) and The Banishment (2007) as well as the two Zvygintsev’s short films, Apocrypha. New-York, I Love You (2008) and Mystery. Experiment 5ive (2011). Dergachev headed sound department on Elena (2011), Leviathan (2014) and Loveless (2017).
In 2007, Dergachev was awarded Best Composer award by the Russian Guild of Film Critics, along with Arvo Part. In 2018, Dergachev won Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE) award — prizing artistically outstanding works in sound editing — for Loveless.
Andrey Dergachev’s filmography includes over twenty feature and documentary works. Geography of film productions he contributed to spreads from Russia to the USA, Poland, Cyprus and Georgia. Among his recent works — Loyalty (2019) by Nigina Sayfullaeva and The Bottomless Bag (2017) by Rustam Khamdamov.
